Submit a theme

A theme is one JSON file. Tune it in the editor, copy the JSON, open a new file on GitHub, and send a pull request; CI validates the schema, colors, duplicates, and the build.

Workflow

  1. Start from any catalog theme in the editor and adjust the 16 ANSI colors plus background, foreground, cursor, and selection.
  2. Fill in family, slug, and name, then press Submit. The editor copies the JSON and opens the GitHub new-file page.
  3. Paste the JSON and open the pull request. CI runs schema, duplicate, contrast, and full-build checks.
  4. A maintainer checks provenance, naming, and Chinese copy, then merges; the site deploys automatically.

Requirements

  • 22 color values, all #rrggbb.
  • Record upstream, author, and license; mark unknown licenses as unknown.
  • Do not submit upstream files, screenshots, or copied prose.
