Terminal Themes is a static, open-source catalog of terminal color schemes. Each theme is stored once as palette data, then rendered into configuration files for the Herdr app, Ghostty, Alacritty, Kitty, iTerm2, and Windows Terminal.
Herdr app, not Herdr TUI
The Herdr app here is the native desktop app: one JSON file per theme in ~/.config/herdr-app/themes/. Herdr TUI uses config.toml and is a separate product, out of scope for this release.
Data
Palette values come from upstream projects first; when missing, they are read from the reference catalog's HTML and palette SVG. Images are never stored or redistributed. Every theme records its upstream, author, and license.
Previews
Previews are generated from palette data at build time. They are stylized Herdr app mockups, not third-party screenshots.

Every theme records its upstream link, author, license, and update date; install steps are checked against the application's official documentation. Last full review: 2026-11-04. If a color, path, or source is wrong, open an issue in this repository.
